Clothed Servant
The
sun has left the dayThe transient moon awakens the night
half-hidden amongst the Heavens
drawing each spirit closer to God
So vivid, so near
Its dark recesses lay bare imperfection
revealing a servant, such as I
aspiring to Heavenly purpose
Poised, face to face, the naked moon and I, hold our face toward God,
hoping to capture His Beauty
to bask in His love
Unobstructed by clouds
Free to cast off light
Assured that when clothed in the fullness of His Glory,
we can illuminate the sky
Revived
Emerging
from beneath the busy tasks of the day
I surface gasping for air
searching for The Living Breath of God
to aerate and resuscitate my soul
Spontaneously, inhaling the Word, I read
A former desire, a necessity
My blood transformed to process its essence into oxygen
pumping through my veins, feeding a hungry, starving soul
I am dependent upon the turn of each page for survival
I inhale.....the air is clean
I inhale.....the air is pure
undefiled by man
Head tilted back, nostrils flared
I prepare to fill my lungs
bracing myself for the true source of the wind
My soul leaps out, spread like a sail
and I yield to The Master of Wind and Waves
Adrift no longer
set upon a new course
sailing wherever He may lead
but can we find it anywhere
in a song, a story, there are too many words
voices drown out pictures that should be heard
around every corner inside searching eyes
under piles of shoes that have walked through lies
hands in battle, destruction at any cost
wherefore lies the remains of simplicity lost
HOW SHALL A MAN WALK
Day in and day out, I've seen the children play
Young boys and young girls growing everyday
Playing the roles of their moms and dads
Trying to become woman and man

We must be examples to each and everyone
Out in the world, what would they become?

Tear
down the walls built within;
obstructing your vision, leaving you blind, masking all your sin.
Tear down the walls of self-protection, keeping others out;
trapping you instead, chained helplessly to doubt.
Tear down the hedges continuing to grow briery, thick, and taut;
denying you the privilege to be what a Christian ought.
Tear down the walls of towering darkness;
carnal evil, twining, winding, amongst the massive thicket;
disguising, camouflaging, clouding, to hide what's truly wicked.
Buried beneath the shroud of darkness, laid within the tomb of fate,
nothing lives, only dies, poisoned by Satan's lies and hate.
Acknowledge your weaknesses, trust God to put them to the test;
Accept His plan to mold you, for He knows what's best.
Give your weaknesses to God. He will conquer them.
Don't miss the blessing of His grace and forever knowing Him
